About Miranda Gray

Miranda studied Scientific illustration after completing her Bsc. Hons in Geophysics. She immediately started as a freelance illustrator, working on natural history, children's and fantasy titles. Over the years she has worked on both cover artwork and internal illustrations for most major publishers through her association with Ian Fleming and Maggie Mundy agencies. Her work ranges from children's story book illustrations and children's educational titles to New Age publications, including two tarot decks and an animal oracle deck, as well as natural history illustrations for professional identification.

Miranda works predominantly in watercolour, although she sometimes uses a blend with acrylic and gouache for more stylised work.

As well as working as a traditional illustrator Miranda is also the graphic designer for the multimedia company Footmark Media, which she has run with her husband for over ten years. Her graphic role involves creating interface design for websites, CD ROM titles and presentations and creating interactive educational activities for children and lifelong learners. See:
